HISTORY
The Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on January 21, 1922 on the campus of Harvard University by Bro. Raymond Pace Alexander. However, due to the institution of the autonomy rule, the chapter went inactive, and was moved to Stowe’s Teachers College on January 17, 1942.

Stowe's Teachers College would later grow to become Harris-Stowe State University and the Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha would later expand to become a Saint Louis city-wide chapter.
